Based on 6 metrics:

  • Human Development Index
  • Current account (surplus/deficits)
  • GDP (nominal)
  • GDP (nominal) per capita
  • GDP (PPP)
  • GDP (PPP) per capita.

The following 20 countries are the top economic:

  1. Germany
  2. Japan
  3. Switzerland
  4. Netherlands
  5. Norway
  6. Singapore
  7. Italy
  8. S. Korea
  9. Sweden
  10. Ireland
  11. Taiwan
  12. Spain
  13. Hong Kong
  14. Denmark
  15. Saudi Arabia
  16. United Arab Emirates
  17. Qatar
  18. Israel
  19. Russia
  20. Finland

You’ll notice that America (25th) and China (26th) are not in the top 20. Canada is 29th, unfortunately.
